EVS Tech - PRN Weekend

About the role

AdventHealth Polk in Columbus, North Carolina is hiring an Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech) on a PRN basis to cover the first and second shifts, including weekends. The role keeps hospital patient and public areas clean and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Clean assigned patient and public areas daily, including collecting and removing trash and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Stock paper items, cleaning solutions and other supplies in assigned areas as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of infection control, isolation procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment.
• Use the Bed Management system with handheld technology to track bed throughput.
• Collect and stage soiled linen for pickup and dispose of normal and biohazardous waste.
• Clean and disinfect areas containing bodily fluids according to facility standards and document all work performed.
• Access ancillary units, restrooms and offices in assigned areas.

Required profile

• Able to communicate in English.
• Ability to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Basic computer skills, including operating standard office software; mouse and keyboard use required.
• Ability to read and understand safety data sheets, product labels and reports, and to follow oral and written instructions.
• Experience in a healthcare environment preferred; high school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Pay range: $15.20 - $24.32.
