Events and Program Manager – Center for Contemporary Arab Studies

About the role

The Center for Contemporary Arab Studies (CCAS) at Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service seeks an Events and Program Manager to oversee event planning and program administration. This role supports the Center’s mission by coordinating a variety of academic and public events.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute on‑site and virtual events, including logistics, staffing, and vendor coordination.
• Manage day‑to‑day program administration for CCAS, supporting the Associate Director.
• Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies for events using social media and other channels.
• Maintain event calendars, budgets, and post‑event reporting.
• Provide support for evening and weekend events as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum three years of experience in event management, program administration, or communications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in higher‑education settings and an interest in international relations is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with social media platforms.
• Experience using marketing tools and event‑management software.

What we offer

• Hybrid work schedule (three days onsite, two days remote) with occasional evening and weekend commitments.
• Annual salary range $44,022 – $73,406.80.
