Event Director, Manufacturing Events

About the role

As Event Director for a flagship manufacturing event, you will shape the strategic vision, drive growth, and deliver an outstanding experience for exhibitors, attendees, and partners. You will work across sales, marketing, operations, and registration teams to turn concepts into high‑impact events.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a clear strategic plan to expand the event and enhance the customer experience.
• Lead end‑to‑end event management, from concept and budgeting to delivery and post‑event analysis.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional matrix teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Design engaging programs such as workshops, seminars, keynotes, and networking activities.
• Manage event budgets, balancing cost efficiency with quality and impact.
• Use data and insights to measure performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, exhibitors, and attendees.
• Represent the event at industry gatherings to increase visibility and forge new relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale events with accountability for outcomes.
• Strong project and budget management skills, able to handle complex timelines and multiple stakeholders.
• Clear, confident communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Creative, solutions‑focused mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
