Estimator – Unitized Curtain Wall

About the role

The company is seeking a detail‑oriented Estimator to join its Preconstruction and Estimating team. You will develop accurate cost estimates for complex façade projects, working closely with vendors, subcontractors, engineering teams and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and revise detailed material takeoffs and quantity surveys under senior guidance.
• Review architectural, structural, and engineering documents to define project scope and pricing.
• Analyze schedules, mock‑ups, testing requirements and installation sequencing.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates covering material, labor, equipment, transportation, tax and subcontractor fees.
• Solicit, review and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations for completeness and compliance.
• Coordinate bid communications, distribute plans and specifications, and prepare bid proposals with pricing breakdowns.
• Assist senior estimators with project pricing, budgeting and proposal development.
• Utilize Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Excel and other estimating software to produce accurate reports.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of estimating, sales or pre‑construction experience in construction.
• Strong understanding of architectural and structural drawings and construction documentation.
• Experience preparing quantity takeoffs, cost estimates and bid proposals.
• College degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business or related field preferred.

• Bluebeam
• Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (formulas and spreadsheet analysis)
• Knowledge of glass door systems, point‑supported glass wall systems, high‑span curtain wall systems, unitized curtain wall systems, storefront framing and entrance systems
• Familiarity with Kawneer storefront products and PartnerPak estimating software
