Escrow Assistant – Austin, TX

About the role

We are seeking an Escrow Assistant to support home sale closings for Independence Title in the Austin area. The role involves coordinating information, processing documents, and ensuring smooth post‑closing activities while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the collection of information needed to finalize a home sale.
• Handle front‑end processing and post‑closing/funding tasks as directed by the Escrow Officer.
• Read contracts, commitments, and orders, and assemble the necessary documents for closing.
• Maintain files, record appropriate documentation, issue checks after closing, and transmit documents to lenders.
• Provide courteous and professional service to both external customers and internal team members.

Required profile

• Friendly, outgoing, well‑organized with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of escrow experience.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Experience with the RamQuest escrow system (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
