Equipment Operator

About the role

We are looking for an Equipment Operator to join the Summit Club team in the Las Vegas area. Reporting to the Director of Agronomy, Superintendent or Equipment Manager, you will operate a variety of machinery to maintain the golf course and surrounding desert landscape, ensuring a high‑quality experience for members and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Operate tractors, loaders, backhoes, mowers, utility vehicles, fly‑mos, sand‑trap rakes, aerifiers, sprayers, turf vacs and other equipment.
• Mow greens, tees, fairways, rough and desert areas using power mowers, trimmers, backpack blowers and specialized equipment.
• Rake and manicure sand traps, desert landscape, transition areas and perform hand‑mowing or trimming.
• Assist with renovations and construction tasks such as shoveling, raking, excavating, back‑filling ditches and laying sod.
• Load and unload materials, haul equipment, clean drains, culverts and cart paths, and perform general janitorial duties.
• Participate in annual over‑seeding, new green/tee/fairway construction and landscape watering.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience on a golf‑course maintenance team or similar construction environment.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods.
