Equipment Maintenance Technician

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and maintenance on plant facilities, machinery, and equipment. You will work on the shop floor supporting the production of advanced composite aerostructures for the Airbus A350 XWB.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine, periodic, and special inspections to determine necessary repair and maintenance work.
• Use hand and power tools, PLC, CNC, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Move and rig heavy equipment, perform disassembly and assembly operations, and enter data into the CMMS.
• Obtain and deliver materials and parts required for maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED or completion of Workkeys Assessment.
• Willingness to work any shift and ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 30 lb, standing, walking, and working at heights up to 40 ft.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and drawings.

Required skills

• Troubleshooting electrical schematics.
• Experience with PLC and CNC systems.
• Familiarity with Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or Fanuc automation equipment.
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
