About the role

The University of Miami Hospital is seeking a full‑time Environmental Services Technician to maintain a sanitary, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow established cleaning methods and procedures.
  • Use only approved cleaning supplies and chemicals.
  • Adhere to fire, safety, waste disposal, dress code, and patient information guidelines.
  • Report areas needing special cleaning or repairs to the supervisor.
  • Assist in equipment maintenance and supply organization.
  • Follow University and unit policies to safeguard assets.

Required profile

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (or one year housekeeping experience in hotel, motel, commercial/industrial sanitation, or health‑care).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Commitment to the University’s core values and effective oral and written communication.
