Environmental Health & Safety Engineer

About the role

3M is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer to join its Angleton, TX site. The role supports all aspects of EHS compliance, partnering with site management and global teams to ensure a safe and sustainable manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical EHS support for regulatory permits, management of change (MOC), ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and safety programs.
• Communicate and collaborate with site leadership to drive EHS performance.
• Develop, deliver, and maintain EHS training for employees.
• Investigate incidents, conduct root‑cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Assess high‑hazard processes and recommend risk‑reduction measures.
• Participate in site‑wide EHS initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Required profile

• High School Diploma with 7+ years EHS experience in manufacturing, OR a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related field.
• Experience with hazard and risk assessments in a manufacturing setting.
• Self‑directed, detail‑oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.
