Entry‑Level Maintenance Technician – Multicraft

About the role

Boise Cascade is looking for an entry‑level journeyman to join its Multicraft maintenance team. You will work across the plant supporting electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems on a variety of machine centers.

Key responsibilities

• Use multi‑meters, wiggies, meggers, amprobes, temperature meters and servo drivers for diagnostics.
• Install and bend conduit up to three inches using bending and threading equipment.
• Operate hand tools and shop equipment such as drills, band saws, reciprocating saws, crimpers, cutting torches and welding machines safely.
• Read blueprints, perform shop math, and work with relay logic, circuit breakers, starters, overload relays and various switches.
• Program and troubleshoot Allen‑Bradley PLCs, ladder logic, AC drives, electric motors, chart recorders, Honeywell controllers, MTS temposonics and transformers.
• Diagnose pneumatic and hydraulic circuits, including directional, proportional and servo valves.
• Utilize Windows‑based software including Windows Explorer and RSLogix.

Required profile

• Minimum 36 months (3 years) of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the wood products industry is a plus.
• Vocational or technical school diploma in electricity/electronics preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
