Production Technician I – Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a Production Technician I to join our manufacturing plant in Lena, Louisiana. This entry-level position works on the shop floor of a non-climate-controlled mill, handling material movement, equipment cleaning and general labor tasks while gaining skills for future advancement.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all plant safety, environmental guidelines and procedures.
• Assist team members during production runs and support break-out operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the floor area, move heavy objects, clean equipment and load/unload materials.
• Provide relief coverage for coworkers during breaks and vacations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Willingness to work any shift and pursue advancement to machine operator.
