Entry-Level Quality Engineer

About the role

We are a growing OEM supplier seeking an entry‑level Quality Engineer to support our manufacturing operations in Morristown, TN. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to drive quality improvements and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the Corrective Action (8D) process to address quality issues.
• Lead and support quality improvement projects with suppliers to reduce PPM, warranty claims, and production rejects.
• Apply root‑cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys and Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagrams.
• Conduct ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 audits and support other quality engineering methodologies.
• Maintain a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and read blueprints accurately.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) in an engineering or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes.

Required skills

• Corrective Action (8D) methodology.
• Root‑cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams).
• ISO 9001 audit experience.
• IATF 16949 audit experience.
• Blueprint reading.
