Entry-Level Midwifery Positions – NHS Tayside

About the role

We are seeking newly qualified midwives and final‑year students who will be registered in late 2026 or early 2027 to join our rotational midwifery posts across NHS Tayside. These roles involve providing comprehensive maternity care in a variety of settings, including home births, community midwifery units, and labour suites.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women and families.
• Participate in on‑call duties across Angus, Dundee and Perth.
• Support the development of a continuity of care model, following women throughout their maternity journey.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and respectful care.

Required profile

• Final‑year midwifery student expecting registration by early 2027, or newly qualified midwife.
• Commitment to NHS values of equality, diversity and patient‑centred care.
• Willingness to work rotationally and respond to on‑call requirements.
