Entry-Level Internal Auditor

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring an entry-level Internal Auditor in Altamonte Springs, Florida, on a full-time day shift. The position is open to candidates with 1-2 years of experience and focuses on supporting internal audits, testing controls and documenting findings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with developing audit scope and selecting appropriate audit procedures.
• Perform internal control procedures for external audits, including documenting business processes and controls.
• Document findings and recommendations and communicate audit issues and findings promptly.
• Manage assigned projects within time budgets and meet deadlines.
• Conduct interviews, prepare audit work papers and write summary memos.
• Perform detailed tests of controls and account balances, evaluating and documenting results in work papers.
• Develop strong analytical, data analysis, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Stay current with emerging accounting and auditing issues and perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field.
• 1+ year of full-time experience in internal audit or public accounting (preferred).
• Professional and proficient verbal and written communication skills, and thorough attention to detail (required).
• Ability to use technical tools and resources effectively (required).
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry (preferred).

Required skills

• Solid knowledge and application of US GAAP.
• Proficiency in PeopleSoft (preferred).
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (preferred).

The pay range is $45,656 to $84,905.60. Positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
