Entry Level HVAC Controls Systems Technician

About the role

Join Johnson Controls Federal Systems as an entry‑level HVAC Controls Systems Technician supporting Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. Training and development are provided for candidates eager to grow in HVAC controls and building automation.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
• Perform basic commissioning, system diagnostics, and load controller software.
• Calibrate systems using electronic test equipment and document as‑built changes.
• Communicate job progress to management, contractors, and customers while adhering to safety standards.

Required profile

• Experience or coursework with HVAC, electronics, electrical or mechanical systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to obtain required security badges/clearances.

Required skills

• Basic HVAC troubleshooting.
• Use of hand and power tools (drills, saws, etc.).
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Windows operating environment.

What we offer

• Hourly pay $23–$30 based on experience.
