Entry-Level Healthcare Associate Attorney

About the role

Jackson LLP, a boutique healthcare law firm, is seeking a full‑time associate attorney for its Evanston office. The role is ideal for a recent graduate or attorney with up to two years of experience who is licensed (or awaiting results) in IL, WI, TX, or NY and is passionate about healthcare law.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support on licensure, scope of practice, regulatory compliance, and day‑to‑day business matters for medical professionals and small‑ to mid‑size practices.
• Assist with new practice formation, including entity creation and intake documentation.
• Draft and review employment contracts, independent contractor agreements, physician collaborative agreements, and management services agreements.
• Prepare HIPAA policies and advise clients on HIPAA compliance.
• Advise on Anti‑Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Stark Law, and related state laws with senior attorney support.

Required profile

• Active or pending bar license in Illinois, Wisconsin, Texas, or New York.
• Zero to two years of post‑bar experience (or recent graduate).
• Resides within commuting distance of Evanston, IL.
• Detail‑oriented with ability to deliver accurate, client‑ready work on deadline.

Required skills

• Experience preparing and negotiating contracts.
• Experience with regulatory and transactional work (non‑litigation).
