Entry-Level Architectural Assessor (Federal Facility)

About the role
Pond is looking for an entry‑level Architectural Assessor to support condition assessments of Federal Bureau of Prisons facilities across the United States. The role combines extensive travel for on‑site evaluations with office‑based report development, offering recent architecture graduates a fast‑paced entry into facility assessment and asset management.
Key responsibilities
- Perform architectural condition assessments of BOP facilities using the 2025 BUILDER SMS Assessment Guide.
- Collect and document facility data during field visits, focusing on building components.
- Assist in preparing detailed assessment reports, data summaries, and supporting documentation for federal clients.
- Read and interpret planning documents, engineering reports, construction drawings, and related datasets.
- Conduct baseline analysis of assets using Asset Management technologies under project team guidance.
- Collaborate with senior assessors and multidisciplinary teams to meet project schedules.
- Present findings clearly through written reports and verbal communication.
- Maintain professional client relationships during site visits and project activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture.
- Recent graduate, self‑motivated, adaptable and detail‑oriented.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time and work on‑site.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Security Clearance.
- Comfortable working as a 1099 independent contractor on a 15‑month contract.
