Enterprise Senior UX Designer

About the role

The Home Depot is looking for a service design focused UX Designer to join its User Experience team. The role turns complex enterprise operations into intuitive, effective experiences, partnering with product managers, software engineers, researchers, data scientists and business stakeholders to design end-to-end experiences for associates and customers. It is a highly collaborative, hands-on position reporting to the User Experience Manager, with no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and strategy (about 25%): combine user research with partner OKRs, lead stakeholder meetings, identify additional value and drive product alignment
• Coaching and mentoring (about 5%): refer outside talent, coach junior UX resources and mentor apprentices
• Delivery and execution (about 70%): advocate for design-centered thinking, provide UX artifacts and usability tests, lead data collection and synthesis
• Develop service blueprints, journey maps, workflows, prototypes and experience frameworks

Required profile

• Able to work in a fast-moving environment and self-manage complex projects
• Preferred: 5-7 years of UX experience in an enterprise or retail environment, or a related degree
• Preferred: 5-7 years of experience with agile software development teams
• Preferred: demonstrated ability to initiate and self-manage complex projects
• Must be 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time; mostly sits indoors
