Engineering Technician 2 – Night Shift

About the role

Join Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science, as an Engineering Technician 2 working night shifts. You will support the design, testing, and assembly of electro‑mechanical systems that drive semiconductor and display technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine to moderately complex electro‑mechanical tasks including design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronics and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Test and troubleshoot system‑level and component‑level problems in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum subsystems, and execute new system installations and field upgrades.

Required profile

• Physically able to stand for long periods, work in tight spaces, lift, climb ladders, and operate heavy machinery such as forklifts.
• Willingness to work in a clean‑room environment and wear required personal protective equipment.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical troubleshooting and testing
• Interpretation of schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings
• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum system testing
• Use of hand and power tools, including forklift operation
