Engineering Tech III – Integrated Final Test – Weekend Shift

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Engineering Tech III to perform integrated final testing on a weekend shift. The role involves electro‑mechanical work on semiconductor equipment, supporting new product introductions and field upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test, checkout, fabricate, modify, troubleshoot, and assemble electronic and electro‑mechanical systems and test fixtures.
• Test and troubleshoot system‑level and component‑level electrical and mechanical problems, following schematics, diagrams and written instructions.
• Compile logbooks and test procedures, assist in revising department processes, and generate quality notifications.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum and process testing on AMAT platforms according to engineering and manufacturing specifications.

Required profile

• Physically able to stand for long periods, work in tight spaces, lift, climb ladders, and operate heavy machinery such as forklifts.
• Willing to work in a clean‑room environment and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Commitment to safety standards, reporting hazards promptly and maintaining a clean work area.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical system testing and troubleshooting.
• Interpretation of schematics, diagrams and technical documentation.
• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum and process testing.
• Use of hand and power tools, test equipment, and test fixtures.
• Clean‑room protocols and PPE usage.
• Forklift operation.
