Engineering Manager - Specialty Resins

About the role

Surventis is hiring an Engineering Manager for its Greenville, Ohio manufacturing site, which produces specialty resins for the automotive industry. The role leads process engineering and quality control, providing technical leadership for the site's 24/7 operations. It reports directly to the Site Director and sits in the site leadership team, working with operations, maintenance, technology, commercial and supply chain functions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Operations leadership to achieve production, quality, safety and cost targets.
• Provide technical leadership during plant upsets, quality problems, capacity constraints and start-ups.
• Identify and execute improvements to plant profitability and return on invested capital.
• Champion Process Safety Management (PSM) and Responsible Care, including management of change (MOC) and pre-startup safety reviews (PSSR).
• Support Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and investigate incidents and near misses.
• Serve as liaison to corporate technology, R&D and product management teams for new products.
• Develop and manage the departmental budget and build capability through talent development, succession planning and recruitment.

Required profile

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering (ChE).
• 10+ years of experience in the chemical industry.
• Strong technical background and proven record of troubleshooting process issues.
• Good communication, teamwork and drive for change.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
