Engineering Manager, Product

About the role

Render is seeking an Engineering Manager for Product Engineers to lead a team building the core developer experience of its cloud platform. The role combines technical leadership with product thinking, partnering closely with product managers and designers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of product engineers through mentorship, feedback, and clear technical guidance.
• Drive execution on product initiatives from ideation through launch, balancing speed with reliability and quality.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate customer needs into technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Engage in system design discussions, guiding architectural trade‑offs.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Break down complex problems into incremental milestones delivering quick value.

Required profile

• 8+ years as an engineer shipping products with downstream impact.
• 2+ years managing people, including hiring, mentorship, and performance management.
• Strong product‑oriented mindset translating business goals and user needs into engineering roadmaps.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across engineering, product, and design.

Required skills

• Deep technical background enabling participation in system design, architecture, and engineering trade‑offs.
