Engineering Manager – Perception for Self‑Driving Systems

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the perception model that powers its autonomous‑vehicle stack across multiple vehicle types and geographies. You will own the end‑to‑end development of a single, shared perception architecture that runs on passenger cars, trucks, and off‑road vehicles worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Own the perception model end‑to‑end: architecture, training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Drive a camera‑first perception strategy to reduce reliance on HD maps and lidar.
• Lead a cross‑functional team that trains, iterates, and ships the model.
• Perform hands‑on work in data pipelines, evaluation dashboards, and failure analysis.
• Ensure the model generalizes across diverse sensor setups, road geometries, and environmental conditions.

Required profile

• Proven technical leadership experience in perception or computer‑vision systems for autonomous vehicles.
• Ability to make architecture and training decisions that impact model performance at scale.
• Experience guiding teams through iterative development cycles and handling regression analysis.
• Strong understanding of camera‑centric perception pipelines and the challenges of multi‑domain deployment.
