About the role

GlossGenius is rebuilding its core scheduling, client management, payments, and team tools platform around AI. As the Engineering Manager for a Core Product team, you will own execution, quality, and outcomes for a single, high‑impact team that serves over 120,000 service businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery, set quality standards, and balance scope to ship features without accruing technical debt.
• Embed AI tooling into the development workflow, identifying opportunities to accelerate cycles, improve code quality, and eliminate manual bottlenecks.
• Design and own AI‑powered systems and tooling that boost team productivity beyond feature delivery.
• Partner with Product and Design from strategy through production, ensuring engineering perspectives shape decisions early.
• Shape technical direction, surface platform needs, and guide architectural choices.
• Develop and mentor engineers, stretch high‑potential talent, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with recruiting to hire top engineers and maintain a high‑bar, inclusive team culture.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of experience managing an engineering team in a high‑growth tech company.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI into software development processes and a clear viewpoint on its impact.
• Proactive decision‑maker who can move forward with incomplete information.
