Engineering Designer

About the role

We are looking for a Designer to join DRA Global’s Phoenix office, supporting mining and industrial projects. The role translates engineering requirements and conceptual designs into accurate, fit‑for‑purpose drawings while meeting project schedules and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret flow diagrams, design packs and conceptual designs to produce detailed engineering drawings.
• Modify and update drawings to meet client, engineer and internal team requirements.
• Manage drawing integration and interface with multi‑discipline design teams.
• Deliver drawings within project schedules and allocated man‑hour budgets, ensuring high‑quality, self‑checked deliverables.
• Follow internal QA/QC, document control procedures and use BIM‑DOCS for coordination.
• Communicate effectively with Design Office Leads, escalating issues or design changes proactively.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in a related engineering/design field with applicable design certifications.
• 4–6 years of experience in an engineering or design office, preferably in mining, EPCM or industrial projects.
• Proactive, results‑driven attitude with strong attention to detail and a team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Autodesk software: AutoCAD, Inventor and Autodesk Vault.
• Experience using BIM‑DOCS and Vault workflows.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
