Engineer II – Construction Estimating & Field Support

About the role

The Engineer II will support construction projects by providing technical engineering and cost information, ensuring work complies with engineering standards and project budgets. This role bridges design intent and field execution, helping to keep projects on schedule and within cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
• Interpret design drawings for craft workers and resolve drawing conflicts, interferences, and errors.
• Interface with on‑site departments to resolve problems, maintain quality, and support overall project schedule.
• Prepare and disseminate documentation such as status reports, punch lists, sketches, and material requirement calculations.
• Provide technical support for material controls, delivery dates, construction schedules and design requirements.
• Develop quantity take‑offs, material price lists, labor costs and equipment estimates.
• Research historical productivity data to create guidelines for future estimates.
• May supervise, direct, and mentor project staff and represent the company in client meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or a similar role.
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications and applicable standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using scheduling software.
• Experience with AGTEK Take‑off software.
