Engineer I – Process Development

About the role

Serán is seeking an Engineer I to support process development of pharmaceutical drug products. The role spans from initial prototyping experiments through early clinical manufacturing, with guidance from senior team members, and offers the opportunity to grow into scale‑up and validation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Follow written protocols to execute analytical, laboratory, and manufacturing procedures.
• Develop experimental protocols and templates under supervision.
• Identify out‑of‑trend data, propose hypotheses, and suggest next steps.
• Summarize, report, and analyze data to draw conclusions.
• Maintain and coordinate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Communicate technical information to internal teams and external partners.
• Participate as a technical lead on project teams and contribute to reports and presentations.

Required profile

• B.S. or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and handle a fast‑paced environment.
• Scientific curiosity and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Basic laboratory techniques (e.g., liquid handling, powder transfer).
• Execution of analytical protocols.
• Experimental design and hypothesis‑driven testing.
• Data analysis and interpretation.
