Engineer I – Process Development

About the role

Serán is seeking an Engineer I to support process development of pharmaceutical drug products, from early prototyping through early clinical manufacturing. The role offers hands‑on experience in experimental design, data analysis, and scale‑up under guidance from senior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Follow written protocols to execute analytical, laboratory, and manufacturing procedures.
• Develop experimental protocols and templates with guidance.
• Identify out‑of‑trend data, propose hypotheses, and suggest next steps.
• Summarize, report, and analyze data to draw conclusions.
• Maintain and coordinate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Communicate technical information to internal teams and external partners.
• Participate as technical lead on project teams and contribute to reports and presentations.

Required profile

• B.S. or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and handle a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lb regularly and up to 50 lb occasionally.

Required skills

• Basic laboratory skills.
• Execution of analytical protocols.
