Engine Dyno Engineering Technician

About the role

Join Bosch's Power Solutions division in Farmington Hills, MI as an Engine Dyno Engineering Technician. You will work in state‑of‑the‑art powertrain testing labs, supporting the development and validation of gasoline, diesel, fuel‑cell and electrified motion products for the North American market.

Key responsibilities

• Execute dynamometer and bench tests on gasoline, diesel, fuel‑cell and electrification components.
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, electrical and digital test equipment.
• Perform engine and vehicle repair, modification, and wire‑harness creation or alteration.
• Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to support test setups.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
• Document test results and communicate findings using MS Office tools.

Required profile

• Strong communicator able to explain complex engineering concepts in simple terms.
• Self‑directed, motivated and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
• Team‑oriented with solid interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Eager to learn through courses, seminars and self‑study.

Required skills

• Experience with engine dynamometers and powertrain test equipment.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Wire‑harness creation and modification.
• Interpretation of electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
