Endocrinologist Physician

About the role

Einstein is seeking a full-time Endocrinologist Physician to join its growing team at the Blue Bell, Pennsylvania practice, less than 20 miles northwest of downtown Philadelphia, near the Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia and the nearby Montgomery Main Campus Hospital. The practice works with 5 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general endocrinology care covering the full spectrum of endocrine medicine.
• Serve about 15-16 patients per day with nurse practitioners and 20-25 patients per day with physicians, depending on appointment length (20, 30 and 40 minutes).
• Work Monday to Friday, 32-36 hours per week, with one night shift up to 6 pm; flexible hours depend on patient contact hours.
• Handle weekend calls for inpatient and outpatient care; when inpatient, outpatient volume is reduced. The ratio is 85% outpatient / 15% inpatient, with a call ratio of 1:4 (1:5 when staffed).

Required profile

• MD or DO from an accredited program.
• Completion of an approved residency and fellowship.
• Board certification or board eligibility by the American Board of Internal Medicine / Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism.
• Current medical licensure.
