Endo GI Assistant Nurse Manager

About the role

AdventHealth in Palm Coast, Florida is hiring a full-time, day-shift Endo GI Assistant Nurse Manager. The role covers venous access and infusion therapy nursing, with added leadership duties such as supervising staff, mentoring and leading quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venous access procedures within the scope of RN licensure, ensuring proper technique and patient safety
• Administer and monitor infusion therapy treatments, adjusting care plans to patient response and needs
• Assess patients' conditions to choose appropriate venous access methods and address complications
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for venous access and infusion therapy patients
• Educate patients on venous access and infusion therapy
• Monitor nursing staff performance, give feedback, run appraisals and run improvement plans
• Identify training needs, organize education programs and mentor staff
• Mentor and precept new staff with hands-on training
• Resolve staff conflicts through mediation and foster team cohesion
• Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and improving patient care and efficiency
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and the healthcare team, and ensure compliance with hospital policies

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN); Associate's degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's preferred
• 1+ charge nurse or relevant leadership experience preferred
• 1+ years of acute care nursing experience preferred
• Additional licensure or certification may apply depending on unit or state

• Basic computer skills, including experience with an electronic health record

• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Unit-specific competencies as outlined by the unit

Pay range: $34.32 - $63.84. Florida Level 2 background screening applies. Applicants must hold a BLS (CPR) certification.
