Employment Supervisor (Humanitarian Services)

About the role

The Employment Supervisor leads a dedicated team that provides comprehensive employment services to IRC clients, including assessment, job readiness training, placement, and post‑placement support. The role ensures that program activities meet grant deliverables, maintain high quality standards, and comply with contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and supervise direct service staff, facilitating team meetings, individual supervision, and performance goal setting.
• Assign cases, monitor staff workload, prioritize tasks, and provide troubleshooting support.
• Ensure compliance with all IRC policies, procedures, and grant requirements.
• Oversee program implementation: self‑sufficiency planning, job readiness training, job search assistance, placement, and employer partnership development.
• Coordinate internal and external training activities to meet funder standards.
• Track client progress using designated database systems and ensure timely, documented service delivery.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local employers and community partners to secure job opportunities for clients.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of case files and databases, monitoring progress toward grant deliverables.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience supervising staff in a human‑services or nonprofit environment.
• Strong understanding of employment services, job training, and placement processes.
• Ability to manage grant‑related deliverables, data monitoring, and compliance reporting.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Commitment to the IRC mission and to delivering impact for vulnerable populations.
