Employee Health RN – Hospital Employee Health Services

About the role

The Employee Health RN provides comprehensive health services to hospital staff, focusing on illness prevention, injury management, and overall employee wellness. This role works closely with Infection Prevention, Risk Management, and Human Resources to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver employee health services, including pre‑employment screenings, immunizations, TB testing, and flu vaccinations.
• Collaborate with Infection Prevention for exposure investigations and infection surveillance.
• Manage work‑related injury care, drug‑screening programs, and OSHA Blood/Body Fluid protocols.
• Maintain accurate employee health records, injury/illness statistics, and ensure timely reporting to leadership.
• Coordinate return‑to‑work clearances and FMLA processes with HR and risk management.
• Develop and deliver education programs on safety, injury prevention, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in committees, develop policies, and ensure proper use and maintenance of health equipment.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in occupational or employee health settings.
• Strong knowledge of infection control, immunization practices, and OSHA regulations.

Required skills

• Immunization administration and vaccine management.
• TB skin testing and flu vaccination coordination.
• OSHA Blood/Body Fluid protocol implementation.
• Drug‑screening program oversight.
• Medical record keeping and data analysis of injury trends.
