Employee Health & Benefits Account Executive

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring an Account Executive for its Employee Health & Benefits team in Palm Beach Gardens. This is a hybrid position, based at one of the listed regional offices and sometimes requiring in-person client meetings. You will lead day-to-day client strategy and service delivery together with the Producer, overseeing renewals, vendor negotiations and the quality of client deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client strategy, engagement and retention, including the annual service plan, calendar and meeting cadence
• Own renewal and marketing strategy, including proposal evaluation, plan/rate comparisons and recommendations for complex lines such as self-funded/ASO, stop-loss, pharmacy benefit management, disability and multi-state accounts
• Lead vendor negotiations and coordinate internal resources so client deliverables are on time and to quality standards
• Oversee financial and claims reporting and analysis, and communicate results to clients
• Develop contribution modelling and budget scenarios for client decisions
• Coordinate open enrolment planning and execution, including meetings, communications and internal readiness
• Ensure compliance deliverables (audits, testing, filings and fees) are completed and set up compliance dashboards where applicable
• Manage escalated issues, keep the Producer informed of significant changes, risks and opportunities, and promote additional coverage lines

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active, current Florida 2-15 insurance license
• 5+ years of experience in the health insurance industry; agency experience preferred
• Experience with self-funded accounts
• Bachelor's degree or higher, bilingualism (English/Spanish), HIA or CEBS designation, and experience with Employee Navigator, EPIC, BenefitPoint or ImageRight are a plus but not required

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
