Emergency Room Night Registered Nurse

About the role

Citizens Health seeks a full‑time Registered Nurse to work the night shift (6 PM‑6 AM) in the Emergency Department of Citizens Medical Center, a 25‑bed critical access hospital in Colby, KS.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Administer medications safely and promptly, and perform emergency medical procedures.
• Educate patients and families, and coordinate care with ancillary staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional nursing standards.

Required profile

• Current Kansas RN licensure with at least one year of ER experience.
• Current CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Strong critical‑thinking, rapid decision‑making, and triage abilities.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
