Emergency Medicine Physician – Level II Trauma Center

About the role

The Emergency Medicine Physician will join a high‑volume Level II Trauma Center serving 80,000 annual visits. Working in a 518‑bed facility, the physician will provide acute care across multiple CHRISTUS Mother Frances emergency departments and utilize the Epic electronic medical record system.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency care to adult and pediatric patients in a fast‑paced trauma environment.
• Assess, stabilize, and manage trauma and medical emergencies following evidence‑based protocols.
• Document patient encounters, orders, and treatment plans accurately in Epic EMR.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgery, radiology, and intensive care, to ensure seamless patient transitions.
• Participate in rotating assignments among various emergency department locations within the CHRISTUS network.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Experience working in a high‑volume, Level II Trauma Center preferred.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a faith‑based, not‑for‑profit setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Epic electronic medical record system.
