Emergency Medicine – Physician

About the role

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to join our Level II Trauma Center in Tyler, Texas. The position offers the chance to work in a 518‑bed hospital, utilizing the Epic EMR system and rotating among multiple CHRISTUS Mother Frances emergency departments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality emergency care to a diverse patient population in a fast‑paced trauma setting.
• Perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostics, and initiate appropriate treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, specialists, and support staff.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and maintain coverage for the trauma center.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and departmental education.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or similar high‑acuity environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Texas medical licensure.
• Commitment to the mission of a faith‑based, not‑for‑profit organization.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Epic electronic medical record system.
