Elementary School Tutor (Math and Language Arts)

About the role

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking energetic elementary school tutors to deliver personalized math and language arts instruction to students in Boulder and Jefferson Counties. The role involves both in‑home and online sessions, tailored to each learner’s needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic support aligned with state curriculum for elementary students.
• Create supplemental assignments to reinforce understanding of material.
• Offer remedial and enrichment assistance as needed.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit a wide range of learning styles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and at least one of the following: valid Colorado teaching certificate, current student‑teacher status, two+ years private/charter teaching experience, or university teaching assistant experience.
• Enthusiastic, customer‑service oriented, and enjoys working with students and families.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle diverse learning needs.
