Elementary & Middle School Tutors – In‑Person

About the role

Prep Academy Tutors of Atlanta seeks experienced educators to provide one‑on‑one, in‑home tutoring for elementary and middle‑school students across the Atlanta area. The role is ideal for current or former teachers, teacher candidates, education majors, and seasoned tutors who enjoy personalized instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction in subjects such as Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.
• Adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, reinforce classroom concepts, and support homework, study skills, and test preparation.
• Identify academic difficulties, develop targeted improvement strategies, and monitor progress.
• Maintain a professional, supportive in‑home learning environment and travel to students’ homes throughout Atlanta.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (or currently pursuing a relevant degree).
• Valid Georgia teaching license/certificate or equivalent credential, or at least two years of tutoring/teaching experience with K‑8 students.
• Strong communication, patience, reliability, and a student‑centered approach.
• Reliable transportation for travel to student homes and authorization to work in the United States.

Required skills

• Subject‑area expertise in at least one core academic discipline (e.g., math, reading, writing, science).
• Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning styles and academic levels.
• Effective time‑management and organizational skills.
