Electro Mechanic – Night Shift (12‑hour rotating)

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Electro Mechanic to join its Engineering function on a night‑shift schedule. You will work on complex electromechanical systems that support the production of eye‑care products, ensuring equipment reliability and contributing to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems.
• Assist the parts repair shop in rebuilding used components to “as‑built” condition, supporting cost‑avoidance initiatives.
• Support maintenance system enhancements such as spare‑parts management and predictive maintenance programs.
• Participate in equipment retrofits, upgrades, and the creation or revision of SOPs and shop repair instructions.
• Optimize manufacturing equipment and processes to improve product quality, yield, output, and cost efficiency.
• Help complete validation protocols for new or modified equipment.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience.
• Willingness to work a 12‑hour rotating day shift (2 days on, 2 days off, alternating weekends).
• On‑site availability; sponsorship and relocation are not provided.
