Electrical Test Technician

About the role

CACI is hiring a full-time Electrical Test Technician in Denver, Colorado, within its Engineering and Technical Support category. The technician assembles and tests electronics systems for military applications under limited guidance, works closely with engineers on new product start-ups and collaborates with design and test engineers. About 10% travel across the continental United States is required.

Key responsibilities

• Test electronic boards, assemblies and systems, including RF, power and digital
• Perform precise RF measurements with spectrum analyzers and network analyzers and identify root causes of RF performance problems
• Handle electronic assembly, testing and rework, including circuit board rework of surface mount and through-hole components
• Characterize, debug and repair electronic systems and subsystems
• Help design engineers choose equipment and test setups for component and subassembly characterization
• Maintain the lab environment and test equipment, and organize, document and present test data
• Read schematics, troubleshoot boards to component level and document procedures and results
• Take part in internal program reviews and obtain or retain the government security clearance needed for the position

Required profile

• Hands-on experience in RF test equipment and testing and troubleshooting circuit boards and electrical systems
• Experience in hand soldering and familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows
• Ability to obtain or retain the required government security clearance
