Workshop Manager - Denver

About the role

TCR, a global provider of integrated solutions for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) including rental, leasing and maintenance, is looking for a Workshop Manager for its Denver workshop. You will lead the technicians on the workshop floor, drive safety, quality and efficiency, and deliver outstanding service while complying with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate the team, taking end-responsibility for quality, efficiency, safety and resources within the unit
• Manage the workshop using TCR processes and SAP: allocate resources and labour, manage spare parts and office supplies stock, identify bottlenecks and track work packages against standard times
• Create, check, evaluate and sign inspection lists, implement contingency procedures and assist team members in making production and quality data visible
• Instruct team members on maintenance and malfunctions and support their professional development
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal departments, and advise customers on vehicle and equipment availability
• Contribute to quality measurements, propose procedure improvements and investigate technical modifications to reduce costs and increase availability
• Handle workshop administration such as work orders, invoicing preparation and time control
• Drive a strong safety culture and improve the OHSA management system

Required profile

• Expert technical background in GSE maintenance and repair (mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, air pressure, aircon/refrigeration, electrical systems) preferred
• Ability to make complex decisions under pressure and stress resistance
• Commitment to a safe working environment, with extra safety training beyond what is required
• Strong communication, leadership, teamwork and delegation skills
• Fluent English, spoken and written
