Electrical Test Engineer

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to lead the development and execution of electrical test plans for autonomous maritime vehicle and subsystem programs. You will work in a fast‑paced hardware environment, ensuring that electrical designs are thoroughly validated before release.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute structured test plans aligned with the engineering design process.
• Translate system and subsystem requirements into detailed test cases and procedures.
• Perform functional, regression, environmental, and reliability testing at board, subsystem, and system levels.
• Document test procedures, results, and deviations with precision.
• Support root‑cause analysis and troubleshooting of electrical failures.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test equipment for PCBAs, harnesses, power systems, and integrated assemblies.
• Develop automated test scripts using Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar tools.
• Integrate lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, DAQs, power supplies, and loads into test systems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure testability and validation coverage.
• Maintain organized test documentation, version control, and contribute to continuous improvement of test methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in electrical test engineering, hardware validation, or a similar role.
• Hands‑on experience with verification testing at board, subsystem, and system levels.
