Electrical Systems Instructor

About the role

The Technical College System of Georgia seeks an Electrical Systems Instructor to teach the Electrical Systems Technology Diploma and Certificate programs at the Clarkesville Campus. You will prepare students for entry‑level roles in inspection, maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, lab, and online instruction following the approved syllabus.
• Apply effective teaching techniques, testing, grading, and maintain accurate grade books and records.
• Evaluate student progress, complete required reports, and manage inventory of lab equipment and supplies.
• Maintain a safe lab environment, occasionally lifting objects up to 50 lb and working in varied weather conditions.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Systems Technology or a related field.
• Current unrestricted Georgia electrical construction license OR industry certification in the discipline.
• Relevant work experience in electrical systems.
• Ability to distinguish colors for wiring tasks.
