Electrical Apprentice (Year 2 or Year 3)

About the role

Alliance Group is looking for a full-time Electrical Apprentice (Year 2 or Year 3) based in Essex Junction, VT, to join its growing electrical team. The role is field-based and involves assisting with installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems. The employer states it will train the right person and will pay for training expenses.

Key responsibilities

• Safely perform electrical installation and maintenance routines with a senior electrician
• Review blueprints, building codes or specifications to determine work details or procedures
• Assemble and install equipment and fixtures using hand or power tools
• Mount and terminate devices, run conduit and pull wire on a wide variety of systems
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
• Maintain records and documentation, including apprenticeship OTJ hour tracking
• Choose the right tools, keep the work area clean and follow all safety policies and PPE requirements

Required profile

• 2 to 3 years of electrical experience and completion of Year 1 or Year 2 electrical apprenticeship courses
• Able to follow directions from a senior electrician
• U.S. citizenship or a current, valid U.S. work permit; valid, unrestricted driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs daily, climb scaffolding, ladders and stairs, and work in inclement weather
• Must maintain a company vehicle and pass a background check and motor vehicle record check
• Post-offer pre-employment screening (POPES) required
