EHS Compliance Engineer

About the role

Moog is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance Engineer to lead EHS programs at its Blacksburg, VA site. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining EHS standards while supporting site‑specific operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead EHS programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and corporate standards.
• Collect, analyze, and report EHS data such as chemical, noise, emissions, and waste.
• Identify hazards, assess risk, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, audit programs, and manage permits and reporting.
• Deliver EHS training, support emergency response, and coordinate audits with regulators.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, safety, chemical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing‑related EHS experience, including hazardous waste management and risk assessment.
• Proven ability to interpret EHS data and take corrective action.
• Experience writing EHS programs and performing gap assessments.
