Job description
About the role
We are seeking an EE Systems Validation and Automation Engineer to lead the development of scalable electrical hardware validation and production test infrastructure from prototype bring‑up through manufacturing ramp. The role focuses on board‑level electrical characterization, power and signal integrity analysis, system debugging, and translating lab measurements into reliable production processes.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute validation plans and characterization procedures for complex PCBA prototypes and production‑intent hardware.
- Characterize electrical performance across voltage tolerances, load transients, power efficiency, temperature, and operating modes.
- Perform systematic hardware debug and root‑cause analysis for issues such as power ripple, signal jitter, cross‑talk, ground bounce, thermal throttling, and noise coupling.
- Build power budgets, compliance matrices and concise summaries linking measurements to product requirements.
- Design, validate and optimize manufacturing test flows including boundary‑scan, functional test, calibration, limits, guard‑bands and pass/fail criteria.
- Support EVT, DVT, PVT and pilot builds with data‑driven yield analysis and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers to improve test coverage, cycle time and repeatability.
- Automate electrical measurements using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, programmable power supplies, electronic loads, DMMs and waveform generators.
Required profile
- Hands‑on experience in electrical systems validation or manufacturing test for complex hardware.
- Ability to turn ambiguous hardware behavior into clear measurements, debug plans and actionable recommendations.
- Strong analytical skills for root‑cause analysis and data‑driven decision making.
Required skills
- Board‑level electrical validation and characterization.
- Power integrity and signal integrity analysis.
- Boundary‑scan and functional test development.
- Automation of test setups.
- Digital storage/mixed‑signal oscilloscopes (DSO/MSO).
- High‑bandwidth logic analyzers.
- Protocol analyzers (I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB).
- Programmable DC power supplies.
- Electronic loads.
- Digital multimeters (DMMs).
- Function/arbitrary waveform generators.
- Active/differential/current probes.
