Education Program Manager

About the role

The Institute for the Study of War is seeking an Education Program Manager to lead the planning and execution of its seasonal internship programs and other educational initiatives within the General David H. Petraeus Center for Emerging Leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and fully execute three seasonal internship programs.
• Support the annual Hertog War Studies Program and two War Studies Advanced Programs.
• Organize alumni events and ongoing engagement activities.
• Develop and implement measures of program effectiveness, evaluate outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist with day‑to‑day operations of the Petraeus Center and its expanding portfolio of educational offerings.
• Collaborate closely with the Center’s staff and ISW leadership to align programs with the Institute’s mission.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing education, training, or internship programs.
• Strong project‑management and organizational abilities.
• Experience working with diverse, global participants and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with higher‑education or national‑security learning environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to assess program impact and implement data‑driven improvements.
