Assistant Professor of Finance (Tenure-Track)

About the role

The Department of Finance at the George Washington University School of Business in Washington, DC is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance starting in Fall 2027. Candidates from all areas of finance will be considered, with particular attention to those whose research uses emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning or FinTech, or who can teach in these areas.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality, impactful finance research and publish in top finance journals.
• Teach high-quality undergraduate courses in the School of Business.
• Teach high-quality graduate courses in the School of Business.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field, completed or expected to be completed by the date of appointment.
• Demonstrated potential for impactful research and effective contribution to undergraduate and graduate teaching.
• Background screening is required as a condition of hire.
