About the role

The Emergency Department Paramedic provides direct patient care in a freestanding ED, working under physician supervision on a 3 × 12‑hour day schedule. The role supports physicians, nursing staff, and hospital administration while adhering to EMTALA regulations.

Key responsibilities

Perform wound treatment, medication administration, blood draws, splinting, Foley catheter insertion, and IV fluid therapy according to standing orders.
Document all patient‑related tasks accurately and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Required profile

High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an approved Paramedic program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a valid State Paramedic license with National Registry of EMT certification.

Required skills

Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and data‑entry software.
Computer dexterity for retrieving and entering patient information.
